The Client Facing Products team is responsible for managing the digital portals that Sustainalytics’ clients use to access our research and analysis. The Client Facing Products team closely collaborates with the client services, sales, research and other digital product teams. The digital product has dedicated product owner, development team and QA team who focus on the development of the digital product and are based in Bucharest.

Position Purpose

The purpose of the position is to lead and manage the Portfolio Reporting and Analytics offerings, as well as contribute to the overall product management of client facing technology assets.

The Portfolio Reporting and Analytics offerings are aimed at providing investors insights into the environmental, social and governance risks and opportunities within their portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Product management

  • Manage the Portfolio Reporting and Analytics roadmap, including planning, scheduling, managing and progress reporting;
  • Stakeholder and expectations management, including Research and Client Facing units;
  • Market research to inform the strategic positioning and development plans;
  • Establish overall priorities and work with the senior ICT management team to facilitate product prioritization and use of resources;
  • Coordination and collaboration with other product managers to orchestrate the integration of the Portfolio Reporting and Analytics offering within our bigger technology landscape;
  • Collaboration with software architecture teams to integrate technology innovation within the roadmap.


  • Strong understanding of digital product management, software design and development.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ product management experience in an upstream role such as systems analyst, business analyst, product owner, product manager or portfolio manager
  • Comfort and expertise with investment data sets (security master, holdings, portfolio analytics) and an ability to mine such date and produce analyses
  • Industry experience as a builder or power user of portfolio management solutions with a proven track record of working cross functionally to deliver the technology and services that support investment decision making
  • Previous experience in the ESG space or the financial industry is considered a plus
  • A track record of execution in all parts of the product lifecycle, design, development, launch and adoption.
  • Strong digital product management skills, product roadmap definition, requirements gathering, scoping and describing features, product rollout, stakeholder management
  • Leadership and team builder, ability to work across functional teams
  • Living or willing to move to one or our major offices
  • Cultural and ethical sensitive
  • Understanding of the structure of software products and functional architectural interdependencies
  • Experience with and leading geographically dispersed teams
