POSITION PURPOSE

The IT Project Manager position is part of the Technology Strategic Projects team and will support the team’s mandate of consolidating core business areas and support developing areas with technology solutions. As an IT Project Manager, you will be involved in a broad range of technology and process improvement projects, maintaining a close collaboration with ICT, Research, Sales and other departments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, business area representatives and cross-functional team members to run and successfully complete operational projects
  • Develop cross-organizational business relationships and integrate project activities across teams
  • Determine and define project scope and objectives
  • Set achievable and measurable project goals projects and assess resources needed for each project phase in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan, setting priorities, developing a work schedule, monitoring progress towards goals, and tracking details, data, information, activities and risks and mitigating them in a proactive manner
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders/audiences about strategy, adjustments, and progress; Escalate project issues including timing, budget, resources, etc., to management team.
  • Mentor other project participants in the benefits and the execution of the project
  • Plan and manage software releases
  • Assemble and coordinate project team members, assigning individual responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years of experience in managing small to large technology projects, with emphasis on working with complex interdependent processes and departments
  • Proficiency in Project planning and monitoring of project progress
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycles
  • Solid system integration knowledge in a complex business environment
  • Proven ability to appreciate and understand technical environments
  • Experience as a business analyst, product owner, project manager, development lead or scrum master is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work towards strict deadlines and high-quality standards.
  • Flexible mindset, adaptable to a constantly shifting work environment.
  • Prince 2 / PMI training or certification is a plus;
