POSITION PURPOSE & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The European Client Relations team is split between our client advisory team that services our existing clients and our sales team that develops and grows our European business. At the beginning of the year, Sustainalytics merged with GES, the largest Nordic provider of ESG screening and Engagement services, with offices in Stockholm and Copenhagen as well as a dedicated and growing team of client and sales advisers. To further support and expand our dedication to the region, we are looking for a client relations professional to join the team to help deliver research excellence to our clients and maintain our strong presence in the region.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage and strategically develop your own portfolio of clients:
    • Support clients in building their ESG strategies by providing advice and guidance
    • Ensure that clients’ research needs are met, including content and delivery
    • Develop expert knowledge of Sustainalytics research and services
    • Grow and strengthen client relationships by encouraging the use and expansion of Sustainalytics research and services
    • Seamlessly manage client adoption of new services and record updates in internal systems
  • Stay on top of market developments, identify and share product innovation opportunities
  • Drive the Nordics client relations strategy as well as closely collaborate with sales colleagues to further build Sustainalytics’ presence in the region
  • Build a network within the investment and responsible investment space and represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking groups

We work daily with colleagues in our other European offices as well as in North America so the desire to work very closely with a diverse team from many different cultures is critical to thriving at Sustainalytics. The role includes some travel across the Nordic countries.

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate needs to be a real team player with strong client service skills and a good understanding of the Nordic investor landscape and responsible investment trends. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • 2-6 years in a client-facing role in financial services, responsible investment or sustainability-related field;
  • Degree in a related discipline (business, finance, environment and/or social sciences);
  • Post-graduate degree (MBA) or industry designation (CFA) is an asset;
  • Demonstrated passion for sustainability;
  • Fluency in Nordic language and English (essential);
  • Strong client servicing and commercial skills;
  • Ability to take the initiative and think creatively and proactively;
  • Efficient, well organized team-player with a high level of integrity;
  • Ability to understand and present complex products;
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to lead meetings and presentations;
  • Alignment with Sustainalytics’ mission, vision and values;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
