ABOUT THE TEAM

The Product Strategy and Development (PSD) team is a relatively small and dynamic team of Product Managers, which collectively oversees Sustainalytics’ product portfolio in alignment with corporate priorities; manages product development and innovation; and ensures methodological integrity and consistency across product lines.


POSITION PURPOSE

The PSD team is seeking a Senior Associate to support the product operations for one or more new products. The role will focus on supporting the Product Manager in operationalizing new products and leading the implementation of all operational aspects related to the ongoing maintenance and development of these products. Overall, this role requires someone who excels in an environment where there is a diversity of work, and is passionate about operationalizing and implementing a product vision and strategy. Day-to-day work will vary from supporting client facing teams by answering questions about product features, to collaborating with a variety of internal teams to define product requirements, to managing projects, analyzing data and monitoring product quality. This position offers the opportunity to be a part of a fast-growing and successful organization, work in an entrepreneurial and international environment, and play a critical role in the success of Sustainalytics’ products.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborating with IT, research and other operational teams to define requirements for product features, and to estimate resources and timelines for bringing features to the market.
  • Project managing the delivery of new product features.
  • Supporting the product manager throughout the stage-gate process before market release, ensuring that features are delivered to the market on time and to the specified scope, all relevant stakeholders are engaged and informed throughout the process.
  • Supporting the Product Manager in maintaining product roadmaps and all relevant product documentation.
  • Building, implementing and documenting the operational processes required to support new products;
  • Develop and implement quality process, and monitor quality across the product value chain;
  • Translating product vision and personas into features and user stories.
  • Working with research teams to implement methodologies;
  • Responding to client facing team’s questions regarding product features, such as delivery channels, scope, release dates etc.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience in product operations management and/or project management.
  • Master’s degree in related discipline (business, economics, environment and/or social sciences) or Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience;
  • Experience developing and executing an implementation plan for a product vision and strategy is considered an asset.
  • Strong product/project management and execution skills. Experience with lean or agile product management techniques, and in building and implementing the processes and systems required to support a product is an asset;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; working experience in culturally diverse environments is a plus;
  • Detailed-oriented and quality focused.
  • Alignment with Sustainalytics’ mission, vision and values;
  • Passion for sustainability and expertise in ESG, Sustainable Development Goals and Impact metrics is considered an asset.
