ABOUT THE TEAM

The Sustainable Finance Solutions (SFS) Team is a rapid growth business that is responsible for developing and bringing ESG products to multi-national corporations and financial institutions. Our services include green/social/sustainability bond second-party opinions, licensed ESG ratings to corporates and other services that help our clients to provide sustainability insights to investors and lenders.

This successful business continues to surpass annual sales forecasts. In particular, the ESG Risk Rating licenses from Sustainalytics have been used by various corporates and banks for creating Sustainability Linked Loans, as well as for marketing and promotion and investor relations. POSITION PURPOSE & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The role is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to work in a fast-paced environment, blending research coordination and client management, to meaningfully contribute to the expansion of our licensed ratings service. The license allows corporates to use their ESG Risk Rating built by Sustainalytics for various internal and external corporate purposes such as linking capital raising to sustainability performance.

This role requires a strong communicator and problem-solver who can effectively coordinate across teams and product lines to bring timely and high-quality deliverables to corporate clients. The ideal candidate will have combined analytical and communication skills.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Client communication with content expertise: Key point of contact for first tier corporate license clients; guide them in understanding and interpreting the nuances of our ESG Risk rating methodology; provide professional and timely service and support.
  • Project support: Organize client kick offs, coordinate research inputs and feedback, actively monitor and update planned client schedule. Guide internal teams in addressing client needs.
  • Cross Functional Collaboration: The candidate will work closely together with multiple teams (commercial, research, methodology, product etc.) for end-to-end delivery of timely and high-quality ratings for designated corporate license clients
  • Process Management and Technical Tools: Collaborate with manager and other with internal stakeholders on risks/challenges, to design, map and improve workflow, document and analyze client issues
  • Team support: As a senior member in the team, to work closely with other team members and potentially manage personnel assigned


QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate needs to be a genuine team player who can reach objectives individually, as well as through close collaboration and coordination with other team members. Key qualifications include:

  • 5+ years of experience in client servicing/advisory and/or ESG research;
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders from multiple teams and levels;
  • Flexible mindset with ability to work towards strict deadlines and high-quality standards;
  • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously, across different regions with a problem-solving attitude and attention to detail;
  • Advanced Excel skills, preferably including ability to use VB, or macros and data sources
  • Experience in dealing with Sharepoint, PowerBI, and other data management tools;
  • Master or Bachelor degree in related discipline (business, finance, sustainability);
  • Alignment with Sustainalytics’ mission, vision and values.
