POSITION PURPOSE

The mandate of this role is to develop and implement Quality Management and Operational Excellence programs across the Research Products team. The key focus of Quality Management is the development of standards, procedures and a Quality Scorecard based on the Lean Six Sigma framework of DMAIC – Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control. In terms of Operational Excellence, the candidate will identify opportunities to improve business processes and seek efficiencies teamwide. The role involves close coordination with various research teams as well as our Product Management, Digital Operations, and Client Relations teams. The successful candidate will keep a holistic perspective around Quality and Operational Excellence while strongly leveraging key metrics to drive these agendas forward.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • In collaboration with Research Managers, identify priority Quality and Operational Excellence projects;
  • Contribute to the development of a Quality program based on the Lean Six Sigma/DMAIC framework;
  • Support quality measurement through the development and implementation of a robust Quality Scorecard;
  • Help identify key quality risks across teams, and build tools to address and monitor these risks;
  • Help identify processes across our research value chain to diminish quality risk and/or improve efficiency;
  • Provide Quality- and Operational Excellence-related training to Research Managers;
  • Support the Associate Director, Operational Excellence on other Continuous Improvement initiatives;
  • Provide clear and timely communication to internal stakeholders;
  • Be a change agent for improvement of Quality, Operational Excellence, and Continuous Improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree with Lean Six Sigma Black Belt accreditation;
  • At least 8 years of experience, some of which in research domains and around Quality systems implementation;
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of research processes;
  • Strong research and analytical skills;
  • Proficient in written and spoken English;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office;
  • Alignment with the company’s mission, vision and values;
  • High tolerance for ambiguity and adept at driving outcomes in uncertain and rapidly changing environments.
