ABOUT THE TEAM

The Data Services Digital product team is responsible for managing the digital product that provides automated data deliverables to Sustainalytics’ clients and data distribution channels. The data services product consists of a data feed and API service. The product team closely collaborate with the client services and data services teams as well as the other digital product teams that manage our research and client platforms. The digital product has dedicated product owner, development team and QA team who focus on the development of the digital product and are based in Bucharest. The Data Services Digital product team operates as part of Sustainalytics’ ICT team.

POSITION PURPOSE

As product owner in Data Services, you will hold an external facing role where you will act as a technical consultant towards external clients and work with our client servicing team to facilitate (prospective) client needs. You will lead conversations with (prospective) clients to understand their data needs, explain the data services offering to them and support them in their efforts to integrate and use our data. You will also be involved with creating and managing of documentation and communication to inform clients about product developments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define the product vision & requirements, based on client communication
  • Manage the product backlog
  • Overseeing development stages
  • Explain Sustainalytics’ Data Services offering to (prospective) clients
  • Act as a technical consultant / pre-sales
  • Collaborate with the Client Servicing Team
  • Configure and provide sample data files and trial access to (prospective) clients

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Agile methodologies / PO role is a prerequisite;
  • Understanding of SW development methodologies;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills;
  • Meticulousness and attentiveness to detail;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint;
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience
  • Good understanding of:
  • Data Models and Data Architecture
  • REST APIs
  • Data feeds

Familiarity with financial markets is a bonus
