POSITION PURPOSE & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The commercial engagement team is a new team within Sustainalytics and the team objective is to provide vision and market feedback to the engagement team and its product development and to drive the commercial strategy globally. In addition, the team will conduct market analysis, map opportunities and assess and determine market and product priorities with the overall aim to introduce and expand/adapt engagement services into new and existing engagement markets. Sustainalytics is looking for a team member, reporting to Charlotte Mansson, Director Client Relations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Significantly contribute to the team goal of establishing an engagement brand framework and market positioning and driving sales opportunities
  • Build up strong network and create market visibility, especially in the US
  • Strong focus on commercialisation of product development and supporting proposals and sales presentations – in conjunction with engagement PMs
  • Present at conferences and contribute to thought leadership
  • Contribute to internal sales training and knowledge sharing
  • Contribute to development of marketing material
  • Develop and execute engagement event concepts
  • Contribute to development of engagement reporting
  • Work collaboratively with the overall Client Relations team to help strengthen our presence in the markets and ensure engagement opportunities are managed efficiently and effectively
  • Stay on top of market developments, identify and share product innovation opportunities

We work daily with colleagues throughout our global offices so the desire to work very closely with a diverse team from many different cultures is critical to thriving at Sustainalytics. The role includes travel across Europe/N.America on a regular basis.


QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate needs to be a real team player with strong interest in responsible investment trends. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Demonstrated passion for sustainability and an alignment with Sustainalytics’ mission, vision and values
  • Demonstrable understanding and experience of financial services and responsible investment industry
  • A minimum of 4-8 years of relevant responsible investment experience
  • Strong commercial skills with experience of leading sales from start to finish
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to lead meetings and presentations
  • Ability to take the initiative and think creatively and proactively
  • A natural story teller, you can understand and present complex products in an engaging way
  • Degree in related discipline (business, finance, environment and/or social sciences)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Willingness to travel
